Sunset Sea

An impasto oil on canvas where one imagines being taken on a voyage somewhere at sea, sluicing along on a yacht perhaps, the only sound is the water gushing past. I wanted to study the intense banding of colours that occur as the sun sinks low. One of my larger pieces.

Framed original painting in gouache.   It comes in a deep box type frame with a chalky white finish without glass.
